Dr. Raggett has helped to drive the core standards of the Web from the early nineties as part of the W3C team. He enjoys working on experimental software, e.g. an early web browser (Arena), a tool for tidying HTML, embedded software for the IoT, a server for the Web of things, and lightweight tools for Linked Data. He is the activity lead for W3C’s Web of Data and a champion for the Web of Things, which seeks to enable open markets of services across a broad spectrum of IoT technologies and standards. His latest interest is the Sentient Web – an extension of Linked Data involving a synthesis of AI, Cognitive Science and Computational Linguistics.
