IoT for the “Active & Healthy Ageing” (AHA) domain is a strategic element for the creation of dynamic ecosystems to answer and prevent the challenges faced by health and social care systems. Differently from other sectors, “AHA-IoT” services are provided to persons taken individually and it takes place across all domains, as persons live in houses, neighborhoods, cities, rural areas, mountains and valleys, access to transport systems, drive cars, go to shopping centers, airports, theaters, etc. Persons are the most extraordinary producers of individual’s data: production and consumption of personal data across domains has become the front-line of concern, data privacy, security, authentication, access consent, ownership, storage management.
- IoT technologies with new requirements for end-users acceptance and trust
- Platform cross-domain interoperability, distributed processing from edge to cloud
- Data analytics
- Data warehousing
- Implementation frameworks
- Design and deployment tools and market places
All these issues will be addressed in different sessions during the IoT week: we will see the current achievements of the ACTIVAGE Large Scale Pilot through discussions, workshops and demonstrators of the solutions that are being deployed in 9 sites in Europe. In this context, SMEs and startups are invited to assist to the official launch of the ACTIVAGE Open Call, which will fund the inclusion of new solutions in these sites. We will discuss how the IoT and AHA communities are establishing synergies and collaborations towards sustainable implementations of solutions in European regions and cities, with key players from the EIT Health, the EIPonAHA, the AIOTI WG05.
Join us in unprecedented, timely and exciting discussions towards successful construction of the AHA-IoT European community!
