The IoT Week brings together top researchers leading the development of the IoT technology. It will provide a unique insight on the latest technological developments and research results in IoT research and development. From hardware and network optimization to interoperability, artificial intelligence and user experience, this track will provide a comprehensive view on emerging technologies and challenges. We will also discuss about the Next Generation Internet Technologies and new Developments on the Web of Things (where we will describe W3C plans for incubation and standardization). We will also challenge the audience on what ecosystems exist and can be built around energy services marketplaces and what are the trends and the changes that the Clean energy is expected to bring? Blockchain for IoT and IoT Risk Managements will be also hot topics at the IoT Week. What are the most critical security and trust issues for marketplaces? How can new technologies (for instance, blockchains/DLTs) contribute to solving security and trust issues?
We will also update the participants about some LSP projects and the vision and strategy of the European Commission for the IoT Research & Innovation: MONICA demonstrates a large-scale IoT ecosystem that uses innovative wearable and portable IoT sensors and actuators to be deployed in many fixed locations such as airports, main traffic arterials, and construction sites. The LSP Autopilot is leading innovative projects in Europe to develop the connected vehicles of tomorrow. Mobility is one of the key challenges in our societies where urbanization is growing everywhere. We will finally provide the audience with the EU’s vision and strategy for IoT Research and Innovation, moving into the Horizon Europe timeframe in the fields of industry 4.0, smart cities, energy efficiency, big data, applications for health and care, agriculture and trusted IoT platforms, among others.
