5G will transform how millions of citizens, firms, institutions and devices connect to each other. This technology will drive the creation of new markets, the development of products and services, and the optimization of production processes. Furthermore, latest-generation mobile communications are an essential link in the urban-planning systems that will consolidate the ideal of Smart Cities. Fifth-generation broadband mobile technology will be the new basis for developments in the IoT, driverless vehicles, connected homes and smart cities. 5G technology is full of potential, given the speed at which it will allow users to operate. On mobile devices, it promises to be up to 100 times faster than current systems, with standard minimum download speeds of 20 Gbps; uploads of 10 Gbps and latency, 4 ms. Nevertheless, as is true of any revolution, 5G comes with its own challenges in terms of personal and corporate security, which must be taken into account and managed by companies, users and regulators. Seamless coverage and convergence of wireless communications is also a critical factor of success for IoT adoption by the market and the society. At the time of 5G moving towards IoT through NB-IoT and edge computing, we will explore how 5G will impact IoT deployments. What are the latest innovations? What are the new tech and security challenges on 5G Convergence and IoT Networks? What are the business opportunities of the 5G IoT Ecosystem Integration & Management? What is the Implementation Map of 5G Networks at regional and global level?
